Using your future self to stay focused on your health goals

When you embark on a goal like losing weight it can be helpful to think about your future self.

How happy and grateful will your future self be 10 years from now knowing that you made better health a priority and were able to make changes to solve the weight problem?

Your future self is grateful to your past self for taking on this challenge and making lifestyle changes that solved the problem once and for all. She knows you invested in yourself by losing weight, getting healthy & creating the future you desired.

The things you have in your life today are a direct result of the choices and decisions that your past self made. What are some things you are thankful to your past self for? In my case, I am grateful my past self decided to go back to school so that I could become a nurse practitioner. Also, my husband likely would not be my spouse if my past self gave up on online dating- I'm glad she stuck with it. I am also grateful to my past self for investing in a weight loss coach to solve my obesity problem.

There is a great podcast from The Life Coach School Podcast that goes much deeper into this topic. Be sure to listen to it. I found it very helpful and motivating. Not only for weight loss but for any goal you maybe working on.
